Other Comments: This two-program tape covers a wide range of science related topics, focusing mostly on Earth sciences. There's only one astronomy question (which makes sense considering ROBOTSTRONOMY and ASTRONOMY / 2-XL IN SPACE both cover that topic so extensively) and even that one's out of date. If any of the other questions were out of date, I couldn't tell. ;)

2-XL has one guest on this tape, Mr. Electricity. Normally I consider 2-XL's guests a plus, but Mr. Electricity doesn't work for me, as his voice is an incredibly slowed down voice effect. His appearance is thankfully brief.

Even though this tape has no booklet, being a 1981 program it still has a decent amount of music used to punch it up a little bit. Most notable is KPM legend Keith Mansfield, who has a short piece on here from his that comes from either his 1977 album KPM-1200 Olympiad 2000 or his 1978 follow-up album KPM-1220 Olympiad 20001. This piece starts out the same as "Dramatic Fanfare V" but has the same closing line used from "Victorious" (both of which were used on AMAZING WORLD OF THE SMALL). I don't have the actual albums yet so all of these song titles are of course still not the real KPM titles, but I should be able to provide the real titles soon. However I can provide the real title for the background music used on the race question-- it's "Whippersnapper Strut" by Joe Griffiths, and comes from the album KPM-1212 A Child for All Ages.

A great big 2-XL "THANK YOUUUU!" to Brandon for providing the scan of the button relabel card for this program!

* A NOTE ABOUT PRINTING CARDS OR BOOKLETS: I'm attempting to make these files in the original sizes. Unfortunately computers are odd beasts, and something that looks the correct size doesn't always print at the correct size (or even show up as the same size on different computers). If it doesn't print at the correct size for you, your best bet is to save the file and open it through an image program such as Adobe Photoshop and resize it there.

A NOTE ABOUT MUSIC: Unless otherwise stated, all music titles have been arbitrarily chosen by Frank and myself. These titles were picked based on many different things: the program we first heard the song on, or the project we first used it in, or whatever imagery it made us think of the most. 15 second wav samples (approximately 325k each) have been included for your convenience to be used as a reference. The running times listed in the description above are NOT the sample length. They are the length of the song as it is used on the 2-XL tape pictured.
